HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

Get in touch via our online form or send an email directly to info@macaroom.co.uk.
After your event dates have been confirmed, we will discuss your cake or dessert styling and a confirmation will be sent through.  

Once we’ve agreed on the details, a Quote will be sent, and payment will be required within 7 days to secure your booking. 
For orders made significantly in advance, a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking, with full payment 4 weeks prior to your event.

 

HOW MUCH NOTICE DO YOU NEED TO PLACE AN ORDER?

Generally, we recommend at least 4 weeks notice for celebration cake and at least 3 months for a Wedding Cake. We cannot guarantee, however, that this time frame will secure you a spot.

The sooner you place an order, the better.
 

DO YOU HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY?

Yes! You can cancel your small cake order up to 7 days in advance of its collection date. Please note, there is a 20% processing fee

that is non-refundable. 

I’VE SEEN A CAKE ON YOUR INSTAGRAM THAT I LOVE. CAN YOU MAKE ME THAT?

Yes! Just include a print screen in your email and I will be able to do a similar design. Note that no two cakes are ever identical.

WHEN CAN I PICK UP MY CAKE?

Cake pick-up times will be mutually agreed upon. Weekend pick-ups are available from 11am – 2pm.  Cake pick-up is from Weston Village.
 

HOW DO I GET MY CAKE HOME?

The cake will be refrigerated prior to pick-up and will be stable for transport. The best place to keep the cake when you’re driving it home is on the floor of the car, in the front seat – with the air con on.

Cake boards are fitted securely to the box to ensure minimal movement during transport. Please note, the lid will not close completely.  

Once home, the cake can remain out of the refrigerator for up to 4 hours. Be sure to bring the cake to room temperature for at least 1 hour before serving to ensure the best possible flavour and texture!

 

PHOTO’S AND CAKE DESIGNS

We don’t directly copy other designers’ cakes, we will however, use inspiration to design your dream cake around. Photos will be used as a guide only and exact cakes will not be replicated.

 

CAKE TASTING CONSULTATION

Cake tastings for Wedding Cakes (or other large cakes) can be arranged. 2 weeks notice is required and there is a charge of £30 for up to 4 cake flavours. If you decide to book your cake with us, £20 will be deducted from your final balance (further consultations or cake samples will incur a charge but are not usually necessary)

 

CAN I CHANGE MY ORDER? 

Any major changes to your order less than two full weeks before the required delivery date may incur a fee.

 

ALLERGIES

Gluten, nuts and dairy are all used regularly in our kitchen. There is no guarantee that any of our cakes or desserts will be allergen friendly. 

 

WHAT IF I AM AFTER A FLAVOUR THAT IS NOT LISTED ON YOUR WEBSITE?

At The MacaRoom, we love to experiment. Please let us know if you are after a flavour that is not listed on our website and

we will try our best to help you out.
